Session Title: Co-creating a Learning Progression with Teachers that Focuses on Student Strengths

Description: In this session we will present our research (NSF grant number 2101393) related to turning a research-based Learning Progression (LP) for the Concept of function into a usable tool for teachers. We will share our current version of the LP and invite participants to critique the work and make suggestions for revision. We intend for this LP to be useful for the practice of teaching, especially with respect to framing students’ strengths. Thus, we are interested in perspectives on this work from researchers, teachers, and youth alike.
